Sodexo is seeking a dedicated Environmental Services / Custodial Manager 1 to join our dynamic team in the education sector. This position is crucial for ensuring a clean, safe, and inviting environment for students, faculty, and visitors. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day operations of the custodial staff, implement best practices for facility maintenance, and uphold Sodexo's commitment to enhancing the quality of life through superior service and sustainable practices. Manage and train the custodial staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and maintenance procedures Conduct regular inspections and audits to assess cleanliness and compliance Coordinate with other departments to support overall facility maintenance and efficiency Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring budget compliance Adopt and promote sustainability practices within the custodial services Handle administrative tasks such as staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and reporting Strong leadership and people management skills Excellent organizational and communication skills Proficiency in sustainable facility management practices Ability to multitask and manage time effectively Knowledge of cleaning techniques and equipment maintenance Familiarity with health and safety regulations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Certified Educational Facilities Professional (CEFP) preferred OSHA Certification in Occupational Safety and Health is advantageous
