Job Description:

Our client is currently seeking a Production Manager/Superintendent for a food manufacturing company located just outside of Kansas City!This job will have the following responsibilities:Provide daily leadership and direction to the operations team, ensuring smooth and efficient plant operations.Conduct daily start-up meetings, communicating safety expectations, production requirements, and OEE standards.Plan and organize labor needs, managing labor to standard while considering vacation coverage, absenteeism, and overtime requirements.Implement and maintain 5s and lean manufacturing processes, driving process improvements through Gemba walks and Kaizen events.Ensure employees receive proper training in safety, operations, and housekeeping, conducting follow-up meetings throughout the training process.Lead operating teams in executing the operational aspects of the TPM program.Conduct periodic audits on operations processes, providing analysis to support improvement initiatives.Lead problem-solving efforts and address short-term business issues, participating in strategic planning meetings.Implement cost control systems to optimize waste, repair and maintenance, supplies, and labor costs.Ensure accurate recording of hourly employees' time in the payroll system.Ensure adherence to plant policies and procedures.Collaborate with HR in conducting interviews and providing input in the hiring process.Maintain manufacturing discipline and hold direct reports accountable.Handle employee disciplinary issues with proper conflict resolution techniques.Requirements/Skills:Excellent oral and written communication skills.Lean experience is advantageous.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.Ability to thrive under pressure and produce results.Proficiency in operating computers in a Windows-based environment and most office equipment.Meticulous attention to detail.Results-oriented with a commitment to driving continuous improvement.Adaptability and openness to change.Bachelor's degree preferred.Minimum of 2 years of supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.If you are interested please apply below or send an updated resume to SGoudy judge.comhttps://www.judge.com/jobs/details/991985/UI 991985
