Summary
Provides team leadership, guidance, and support in the performance
of overall manufacturing, quality and production control in areas
of complex scope. Manages, mentors and coaches ISC supervisors and
ISC direct/indirect staff as warranted. Leverages contemporary
supply chain, Honeywell Operating System, Lean, and continuous
improvement processes to consistently realize the delivery of
sustainable high performance outcomes. Directly assists management
on special assignments and projects.Duties and
Responsibilities
- Facilitates traditional and non-traditional production and
inspection activities; may include electronic or mechanical
assembly, machining, tool fabrication, model building, production
of engineering prototypes and fixtures and material
disposition.
- Develops and/or manages initiatives to effect commitment and
execution in areas such as waste elimination, operations systems
improvement and growth.
- May lead comprehensive Honeywell Operating System and Lean
initiatives across the Integrated Supply Chain.
- Creates and manages meaningful control plans and success
indicators for improvement sustainability
- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple areas within Supply Chain
function (program mgmt, materials mgmt, quality), leverages this
knowledge and provides contemporary/progressive leadership to
improve broad business processes and achieve business results.
Facilitates effective cross business supply chain communications
(Defense programs, work-for-others, reimbursable).
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect
continual improvements within the division in efficiency of
services performed.
- Utilizes best-practice and innovative processes to define,
coordinate, and implement procedural changes to assure
cost-effective operations throughout the division.
- Interfaces effectively with NSE and work-for-others customers,
Quality Assurance, Manufacturing, Engineering and other support
organizations.
- Functions as key member of Integrated Supply Chain workload and
workforce analysis. Works with Integrated Supply Chain leaders to
develop the productivity improvement strategy and workforce
planning required to meet future workload demands.
- Creates environment of high employee satisfaction and
retention. Assures individual and/or team performance is evaluated
and reinforced in support of team and plant goals. Assures
employees are trained and assigned to perform necessary operations
including conformance to specifications.
- Complies with and holds employees accountable to collective
bargaining agreement.
- Knows corporate policies and holds team accountable for
modeling them.
- Models the Honeywell Behaviors and commits to personal

upholds professional standards, and performs all work in a manner
respectful of others.
- Independently resolves most manufacturing operations issues
(customer requirements, material shortages, facilities issues,
technical problems) within set operation parameters, engaging
Integrated Supply Chain senior leaders as needed to escalate or
revisit based on changing business requirements.
- Demonstrates in depth knowledge of corporate and plant metrics;
analyzes, interprets and applies this knowledge to solve variety of
manufacturing related business issues.
- Represents divisional management, as directed, in meetings or
appropriate functions.
- May act as a direct customer interface on assigned
projects.
- Generally, directly supervises employees and performs other
managerial responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, and
training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees;
addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Conducts activities in a safe and healthy manner and works in
accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the
protection of employees, the public, and the environment.
- Takes actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition
or action is identified. Every employee has the right and
responsibility to stop work when unsafe conditions or actions are
identifiedYou Must Have
- 7+ years of experience.
- Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing/production
operation required.
- Work experience in multiple areas of Supply Chain organization
(program management, materials mgmt, quality).
- May require previous experience in Honeywell Operating System,
Lean or related function.
- Bachelor's degree required Bachelors degree or MS degree in a
Business related field preferred.We Value
