The Trading Manager is responsible for the trading activities, trading systems, and trading service support to internal clients in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Some key focus areas for this role are ensuring excellence in service levels provided to internal teams, continuous process improvement, change management, relationship building, and problem resolution. -This is a very hands-on role that relies on getting into the details, as well as direct implementation of technology solutions such as automations and system workflows to improve processes. -A passion for delivering excellent service and going above and beyond, as well as inspiring that behavior in others, are key to this role. -POSITION SUMMARY:Management of a team of 3-5 trading associates, including employee engagement, goal setting, prioritization, regular feedback, appropriate recognition, performance management, coaching, and other career development activities.Become an expert in trade execution and ensure all associates are also highly skilled in this area. -We have many internal and external resources available to us to help the trading manager acquire these skills.Inspire and guide the trading associates towards critical thinking and to proactively identify innovative opportunities for improvements.Ensure consistently high levels of service to internal clients by designing and implementing a formal service model for the team. -This includes ongoing monitoring of service and measurement of items like tracking tasks, phone calls, and email responses.Responsible for monitoring the progress of recurring and one-off trading processes. -Ensure that key processes are operating as expected, and that issues are identified and resolved in a timely manner.Use creative thinking, technology, sound judgement, analytical, and problem-solving skills/knowledge to resolve issues escalated by trading associates or internal stakeholders.Work with senior leadership and other internal teams to proactively identify and prioritize technology and key initiatives to further enhance our technology solutions, implement process improvements and strengthen the control environment.Build relationships and communicate with internal clients, stakeholders, and key vendors.Continually evaluating the trading environment to identify opportunities for innovation, or improvement to business processes.Manage expectations for multiple projects including monitoring of key milestones, escalation/resolution of issues, influencing outcome of initiatives, and provide expert opinion of related matters.QUALIFICATIONS:1-3 years management/supervisory experience in the financial services industry or 5 or more years trading or financial operations experience.Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, MIS or other related business major required. -MBA or other graduate degree, a plus.CFA -, CFP -, FINRA licenses, or other financial services certifications, a plus.Advanced Excel skills required. -Experience with Excel VBA, a plus.Experience with rebalancing or trading order management software (OMS) such as Orion Advisor Services, Eze Castle, Envestnet Tamarac, Moxy, RedBlack, Morningstar Total Rebalance Expert (TRX), iRebal, TradeWarrior, Blaze Portfolio, or other similar is a plus.Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM, especially in workflow and administrative functions, a plus.Experience with custodians such as Fidelity Investments, Schwab, or TD Ameritrade, a plus.Experience in writing and understanding SQL queries or other advanced reporting or data technologies, a plus.Proven aptitude for technology.
