Provider Scheduling Director is responsible for centralized
operational support in alignment with the enterprise strategy for
Provider scheduling in the hospital-based service line. This
manager will be a partner/liaison to the Centralized Support
Operations team, market leaders, Provider leadership, Provider
liaisons, and critical stakeholder teams to ensure all programs and
operations are consistent and efficient. This leader will work to
align and standardize Provider Scheduling across all hospital-based
services. DUTIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO: - Serves as subject
matter expert and sets scheduling strategy across HBS service line
- Leads a team of managers, coordinators and schedulers who support
Providers - Provides oversight and direction to maintain
consistency and efficacy - Leads process improvement efforts to
enable scaled operations - Assures compliance with PSG policies -
Expert super user with current scheduling software - Monitors and
reports on outcomes for Provider schedules - Centralize Scheduling
model to scale Provider Scheduling across all HBS - Provides
reporting to market leaders on needs and issues; supports
collaborative communication with market leaders to build effective
operations - Monitors daily Provider staffing model to support
operational management of appropriate visit volumes to deploy
double and triple coverage - Supports Providers in all scheduling
inquiries while elevating any issues as appropriate to operational
and medical leadership - Supports requests for PTO and CME and
ensures equitable allocation of coverage across markets - Supports
real-time monitoring of EM/HM to ensure appropriate Provider
staffing consistent with Patient volume, promptly reports to upper
management when Provider efficiencies run too low or too high -
Partners with financial leaders to define, communicate, and
implement the allocation model for Provider staffing - Partners
closely with Provider recruitment and medical leadership on guide
to staffing needs - Develops standard processes and supporting
education for Scheduling - Develops and maintains standardized
leadership, resource management, and processes - Ensures providers
flex up and down as needed, as well as support cross-state coverage
to achieve optimal Provider efficiency - Reviews payroll
information to ensure Providers register to the correct site
locations with appropriate minimum hours requirements to meet
contractual obligations. - Collaborates with Provider relations
team to ensure Providers are appropriately licensed for coverage in
each respective state and updates on onboarding - Guides scheduling
software best practice and enhancement workgroup to ensure
best-in-class scheduling software - Communicates enterprise
strategic objectives for Provider scheduling in alignment with HBS
strategies - Communicates effectively on program performance and
needs to continue to expand the capabilities - Maintains
relationships and oversight of locum agencies - Practices and
adheres to the "Code of Conduct" philosophy and "Mission, Vision,
and Value Statement". EDUCATION: - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
combination of education and/or experience required. - Equivalent
combination of education and/or experience consists of in-depth and
up-to-date knowledge of healthcare administration typically
acquired through the completion of a Bachelor's degree, preferably
a Master's degree, in a business or healthcare-related discipline.
- Experience in an Emergency department setting is strongly
preferred. EXPERIENCE: - Minimum of 5 years of operations or
comparable experience required - Experience leading operations
preferred - HCA and/or emergency operations experience a plus -
Healthcare data analysis experience a plus
