Job Description Job Description Registered Nurse – Clinical Nurse Coordinator (Charge Nurse) Position Type: Full-Time | Permanent (Contingent) Location: Kansas City, Missouri Shifts Available: Nights (Rotating Weekends) Day and Night options depending on unit assignment Positions Available: 2 Specialty: RN – Charge / Nursing Administration Job Summary The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) provides leadership and coordination of nursing care during assigned shifts. This role ensures high-quality, patient-centered care while supporting unit operations, staff performance, and clinical outcomes. The CNC serves as a clinical resource, supports staff development, and collaborates with leadership to drive excellence in patient care delivery. Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee nursing care activities during assigned shifts Support efficient admission, discharge, and patient throughput processes Monitor quality of care and participate in performance improvement initiatives Serve as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff Support service recovery efforts and promote a patient-first philosophy Assist with interviewing, onboarding, training, and development of nursing staff Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and conflict resolution Assist with staff scheduling and labor management based on patient care needs Support inventory control and management of unit supplies and equipment Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve outcomes and engagement Required Qualifications Strong, current acute care Med-Surg experience required Candidates must be currently practicing in an acute care Med-Surg setting Prior experience as a Charge RN preferred OR minimum 2 years as a staff RN in an acute care Med-Surg unit (recent experience required) Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (RN Diploma or ADN required; BSN preferred) Active RN license in the state of practice or valid multistate compact license Basic Life Support (BLS) required Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of start date Ability to manage a 6:1 nurse-to-patient ratio Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
