Job Description Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner Outpatient Occupational Medicine for a locum tenens job in Topeka, Kansas. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Occupational Medicine - Discipline: Nurse Practitioner - Start Date: 06/01/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Locum Tenens Floyd Lee Locums is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide interim clinic coverage in Topeka,Kansas. This is an in-clinic Family Medicine role focused on primary and acute care services for patients in a health center setting. Clinical Responsibilities: - Manage primary care and acute care patient visits - Treat patients ages 2 and older - Evaluate and manage workers' compensation cases - Support occupational health services - Prescribe medications as appropriate - Utilize Athena EMR for documentation - Maintain accurate patient documentation and comply with clinic protocols Schedule: - June 1st - September 1st - Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7am - 4pm - Tuesday & Thursday: 9am - 6pm Compensation: $95/hour Requirements: - Active state license - Active DEA (and CSR if applicable) - Current Prescribing License - Current Dispensing License in the state of practice - DOT Certification preferred - Experience using Athena EMR preferred - 2-3 years of clinical experience in Primary Care and Acute Care - Experience with Workers' Compensation cases - Experience in Occupational Health preferred - Comfortable seeing patients ages 2 and older - No significant malpractice or disciplinary history About Floyd Lee Locums At Floyd Lee Locums, we’re redefining what locum tenens can offer nurse practitioners.
