Occupational Medicine Specialist Position Summary The health and safety of our Airmen is our top priority. Focusing on the prevention, evaluation, treatment and resolution of health conditions caused by workplace environments, Occupational Medicine Specialists ensure our Airmen are working in the safest conditions possible. Trained to detect potential health hazards as well as prevent disease and injury in the work environment, these experts do everything in their power to promote wellness among our Airmen in the workplace. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements: Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree or Master's Degree or equivalent in public health and one year of graduate medical education in a clinical specialty at a hospital Completion of residency in family practice or board certification by either Board of Family Practice or the Advisory Board of Osteopathic Specialties Completion of 5.5-week Commissioned Officer Training course Must be between the ages of 18 and 48 Must be willing to relocate About the Air Force The U.S. Air Force is the most advanced air force in the world offering hundreds of career opportunities, from healthcare to engineering, in order to provide precise and reliable global vigilance, reach and power for the nation.
