Wellness & Human Resources Assistant Fike Corporation, a rapidly growing international manufacturer of pressure relief, explosion protection, fire suppression and detection equipment, has an opportunity for a Wellness & Human Resources Assistant. Fike is a privately held business located in Blue Springs, MO with over 400 employees locally & over 1,200 employees worldwide. Summary: The Wellness & Human Resources Assistant processes administrative tasks for the company wellness program and assists with the implementation and monitoring of wellness initiatives. They assist with the development and awareness of wellness programs and tools for employees to help them adopt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. Also, provides administrative support to the Human Resources department, updates employee records/HRIS, assists in the hiring and recruitment process, supports/schedules training activities, organizes, compiles, and coordinates data, researches inquiries and files when needed, performs data entry, and processes various Human Resource actions. Provides information to employees and customers by accurately interpreting company policies, procedures, and practices. Responsibilities: Manages and administers the Wellsteps portal. Develops and leads fifteen or more fitness classes per week. Responsible for updating Human Resources intranet portal and various Human Resources systems. Responsible for planning and organizing department events. Assists with data entry. Responsible for updating digital signage for Human Resources related events and announcements. Proofs and distributes employee and management communications. Responsible for document scanning and retrieval. Coordinates and facilitates all team meetings and monthly subsidiary calls. Assists with administrative aspects and processing within the department as needed. Administers, maintains, and promotes the employee recognition program. Develops yearly improvement suggestions for the employee recognition program to ensure value and usage. Administers the tuition reimbursement program and service award program and ensures timely and accurate processing. Consults with and directs wellness participants to appropriate resources. Builds and delivers wellness communication strategies. Engages regularly and effectively in meetings with a variety of stakeholders. Receives deliveries and mail and distributes appropriately. Assists with making employee badges. Assists with the Corporate Challenge program administration and oversight. Processes employment verification requests and generates other necessary correspondence as required. Conducts research as needed and answers general questions and inquiries in all areas of Human Resources. Assists with switchboard coverage and back-up switchboard duties as needed. Assists with ordering supplies, flowers, and other items as needed. Adheres to the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) policies and procedures related to NIST 800-171 and completes all required CUI Awareness training, which includes collection, processing/handling, transmission, storage, and general safeguarding practices. Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the environment is an office setting or fitness facility, depending on the task. The employee is regularly required to walk, talk, hear, see, sit, and use hands. Light lifting may be required occasionally. Various degrees of physical exertion will be required when conducting different fitness classes. Requirements: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Two years of college coursework in a business related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three or more years of experience in a human resources or administrative environment. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.-- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Exercise Science, or related field.
