Endeavor Academy, serving approximately 31 fifth-grade students.

Job Type: Full-Time Anticipated Start Date: August 1, 2024 Position
Overview: The Chief of People and Strategy will be responsible for
leading KIPP Kansas City’s human resources, talent development,
sustainability efforts, and strategic planning functions. This role
will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure
that our organization attracts, develops, and retains exceptional
talent and implements strategic initiatives that drive
organizational growth and student success. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Collaborate with the Executive Director and
senior leadership team to develop and execute the organization’s
strategic plan. Lead the development and implementation of key
strategic initiatives that align with KIPP Kansas City’s mission
and goals. Monitor and evaluate the progress of strategic
initiatives and provide regular updates to the Executive Director
and Board of Directors. People Operations: Oversee all aspects of
human resources, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding,
performance management, compensation, benefits, and compliance.
Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote a
positive and inclusive work environment. Ensure compliance with all
federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Talent
Development: Design and implement comprehensive talent development
programs that support the growth and development of all staff
members. Create and oversee leadership development initiatives to
build a strong pipeline of future leaders within the organization.
Develop strategies to enhance employee engagement and retention.
Sustainability Initiatives: Lead the development and implementation
of sustainability initiatives to promote environmental
responsibility within the organization. Develop and oversee
programs to reduce the organization’s carbon footprint and promote
sustainable practices in operations and facilities management.
Collaborate with external partners to enhance the organization’s
sustainability efforts and community impact. Culture and
Organizational Development: Foster a strong, positive
organizational culture that reflects KIPP Kansas City’s values and
mission. Lead initiatives to promote diversity, equity, and
inclusion within the organization. Implement programs and practices
that support employee well-being and work-life balance. Performance
Management: Oversee the performance evaluation process to ensure
that all employees receive regular feedback and opportunities for
growth. Develop and implement strategies to address performance
challenges and support employee success. Use data and analytics to
inform decisions and measure the effectiveness of people and
strategy initiatives. Board and Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate
with the Executive Director to provide regular updates to the Board
of Directors on strategic initiatives, sustainability efforts, and
people operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with
external stakeholders, including community partners, funders, and
education leaders. Skills and Competencies: Experience in driving
org-wide cross departmental and cross functional strategic plans
Proven track record in building strong culture and team moral
related to goals and priority setting. Strong knowledge of human
resources best practices, employment law, and sustainability
practices. Commitment to KIPP Kansas City’s mission and values,
including a deep belief in the potential of all students. Excellent
leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to
work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Ability to
work collaboratively in a diverse environment Demonstrates a

with diverse populations and promoting equity and inclusion.

relationships within the KIPP KC community Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development,
business administration, public administration, sustainability, or
a related field (Master’s degree preferred or equivalent relevant
experience preferred). Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in human
resources, talent development, strategic planning, and
sustainability initiatives, preferably in the education or
nonprofit sector. Proven track record of developing and
implementing successful strategic and sustainability initiatives.

expected to attend conferences, meetings, and training sessions
both virtually and in person within the Region. Work Environment
Works Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends. Hybrid: A
typical school, office, or virtual environment with frequent
interruptions. Travel Requirements: This role requires occasional
travel, ranging from 20-30%. Compensation and Benefits: Salary is
based on years of experience, educational background, and level of
