Sr SQA Analyst - Lead SQA Analyst Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City MO-Kansas City Full-time Regular Exempt Experienced Yes, 5 % of the Time Day Job Tier II - Credit Check Job Summary: The Bank is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance/ETL Test Analyst to develop, support and deliver testing strategies and solutions for large-scale applications. This role requires the review of system requirements to write test plans and scripts, analyze and validate data, track and facilitate defect resolution, and apply analytical problem-solving skills by collaborating with business and technical staff throughout the development and testing process. Key Activities: - Conduct ETL testing activities - Creates and executes data quality test cases and analyzes results for improvement recommendations - Conduct data transformation validation between environments - Provide awareness and oversight of vendor data transformation validation testing- Collaborate with software/systems personnel and infrastructure support for ETL testing activities - Provide awareness and oversight of vendor QA (ETL) Test execution- Support post release checks (post non-project specific migrations) - Prepare and analyze test results to aid in problem solving and facilitate decision-making - Enter and report all daily activities using status tracking tools as required- Work with Implementation Work Track Lead to plan application pilot - Align with Quality Assurance Office regarding test approach (e.g., number of migration cycles, specific requirements regarding the migration date, test data requirements (synthetic or production data), data time stamp, etc.) - Coordinate with other testing tracks during test execution (e.g., regarding data access for testers, access to loaded databases, access to systems)- Participate in quality management reviews - Perform defect and change request entry and tracking as appropriate to capture defects and enhancements identified during the testing process, and track existing or potential issues along with a recommended course of action and/or options - Participate in and facilitate daily meetings to communicate progress and any barriers to completing development and testing goals - Participate in quality management reviews Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, business administration, and/or equivalent work experience. - At least four years of direct experience as a software quality assurance analyst, ETL/data analyst or engineer working on major application integration and/or major product releases required. - Application development and data analysis background and experience are strongly preferred. - Advanced experience in developing and executing SQL statements for testing, data quality analysis and validations. - Ability to Develop Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) Specifications to support data conversion and integrations - Develops and implements solutions for cleansing data to remove errors and ensure consistency. - Ability to work with minimal supervision. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize workload and deliverables within schedule constraints to deliver results and willingness to work on a collaborative geographically dispersed team in a cross-functional environment. Preferred Software Quality Assurance/Technical Skills: - Proven application testing experience that includes testing of large, complex, enterprise-wide applications on a variety of platforms. - Proficient in understanding written requirements, including use cases, supplementary specifications and requirements traceability. - Proficient in writing test plans and test cases for the intended audience(s)Experience with HP Quality Center / ALM to conduct test planning, execution, and reporting. - Experience with issue/defect tracking and change management tools, such as JIRA, HP Application LifeCycle Management a plus. - Experience with change management, release packaging and deployment concepts. - Practical experience reviewing and researching log files to troubleshoot issues. - Has tool experience relevant to continuous integration, Agile team support and testing frameworks, e.g., JIRA, Selenium, Jenkins etc. - Excellent testing and troubleshooting skills and ability to work with department staff to resolve technical issues. United States citizenship is required for this position. This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while preforming the job.
